Ruins of an ancient Siva temple of pre-Ahom period can be sen lying in the river bed of the Bramaputra. The remains are visible during dry season when the river water recedes considerably. It seems, the temple fell down into the river bed due to erosion of the bank. A Siva linga near the ruins was perhaps enshrined within the main temple. |
